About GoNesting

Nesting software that is quick to start and straight about results

GoNesting is an online nesting tool for shops that cut parts from flat sheets on laser, plasma, waterjet and CNC router machines. It takes the parts in your DXF files, arranges them on your sheets using as little material as it can, and hands back files your CAM software can open.

Phone-stand brackets true-shape nested by GoNesting: 40 parts on a 1200 × 800 mm sheet

A real test: 40 phone-stand brackets on one 1200 × 800 mm sheet.

Why we built GoNesting

Packing parts by their bounding rectangle wastes the material around every curve, notch and hole. True-shape nesting avoids that waste, but it has mostly come inside large desktop CAM packages. We wanted it available from a browser, free to try, with a simple monthly price for shops that nest every week.

How we publish results

The numbers on this website come from real runs of the GoNesting engine on real DXF files: the 188-part sheet on the home page and the ten tests on the comparison page. When true-shape nesting does not help, as with near-rectangular plates, we show that too.

What GoNesting is not

It is not a CAM package. It does not create toolpaths, lead-ins or machine programs; it gives you nested DXF files and a PDF report to take into the software you already use.
