True-shape nesting

Parts are packed by their real outline and holes, not a rectangle around them. On a real 188-part mixed sheet this used 86.9% of the material with a 1 mm gap.

Less waste

Parts inside cut-outs

Small parts are placed inside the holes and cut-outs of larger parts when they fit, keeping the gap you set. In the DXF export, a part seated inside another is cut before the part around it.

Watch parts land on the sheet as the first arrangement is packed. Other arrangements are tried at the same time on your processor cores, the tightest one is kept, and you can stop a run at any point.

Upload one or more ASCII DXF files, up to 20 MB each. Lines, arcs, circles, ellipses, splines, polylines and block inserts are read into parts with their holes; text and dimensions are ignored.

Download a ZIP with one DXF per sheet, built from your original geometry and ordered for cutting: holes before outlines, with a short route between parts. The PDF report lists the settings and parts, with a picture of every sheet.

Rotation choices

Choose how far parts may turn for the whole job: no turning (for grain or a printed direction), 4 angles, 8 angles, auto-aligned, every angle, or best of several.

Precision

Gap & margin control

Set the gap between parts from 0 to 50 mm and a margin from the sheet edge from 0 to 100 mm. Co-edge cutting sets the gap to 0 so neighbouring straight edges share one cut line.

Bounding-box nesting wraps every part in a rectangle, which wastes the space around every curve and notch. GoNesting works from the part’s real outline, so parts can sit into each other’s gaps.

True-shape nesting. Parts are packed by their real outline and holes, not a rectangle around them. In our tests it fit 40 phone-stand brackets on a 1200 × 800 mm sheet where bounding-box nesting fit 30; near-rectangular parts gain little or nothing.
Yes. A free GoNesting account includes 5 nesting runs with the same engine Pro uses. Upload a DXF, nest it and download the DXF files and PDF report without installing anything or entering a card.
Yes. Set the gap between parts (0–50 mm) and a margin from the sheet edge (0–100 mm) before you nest. There is no separate kerf setting: kerf compensation stays in your CAM software, so choose a gap that suits your cut width and material.
For the whole job, yes. Choose “no turning” and every part stays exactly as drawn in your DXF. Rotation is set per job rather than per part, so draw grain-sensitive parts in the direction you need.
Yes. Add the sheets you have and parts are spread across them. Each sheet shows its part count and material used, and the export has one DXF per sheet. Parts that do not fit on the sheets you added are listed, so you can add another sheet and nest again.
