This policy explains what GoNesting (gonesting.com) collects when you use the website and the GoNesting nesting app, including the information we receive from your Google account when you sign in with Google and the visit statistics we collect with Google Analytics, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and how to reach us about it. 1. Signing in with Google

GoNesting has no passwords of its own: you sign in with your Google account, using Google’s standard “Sign in with Google”. We ask Google only for the basic sign-in permissions (openid, email and profile).

  • What Google shares with us: your Google account ID (an identifier for your Google account), your email address and whether Google has verified it, your name, and a link to your Google profile picture.
  • What we keep: your Google account ID, email address and name. We do not keep the link to your Google profile picture.
  • How we use it: the first time you sign in, to create your GoNesting account; after that, the Google account ID tells us which account is yours each time you sign in. Your name and email address identify you in the app, and we use your email address to reply to you about your account, your plan and support requests. We do not use it for anything else.
  • What we never get: your Google password, which goes only to Google. We do not ask for access to Gmail, Google Drive, Contacts, Calendar or any other Google service, and we cannot read them.
  • What we never do: we do not sell your Google user data, use it for advertising, or use it to train artificial intelligence or machine learning models. We do not share it with anyone, except our hosting provider, which stores it for us (see section 7), or when the law requires it. We never send your name, email address or Google account ID to Google Analytics (section 6).
  • Limited Use: GoNesting’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
  • Removing access: you can remove GoNesting’s access at any time in your Google Account, under Third-party apps and services. This stops new sign-ins. To delete the information we already hold, see section 8.

2. Your account

  • Name and email address, from your Google account (section 1). You can change the name shown in the app on your profile page. Your email address is the one on your Google account.
  • Profile photo, only if you upload one on your profile page. It is re-drawn as a 320 × 320 image; nothing else from the original file is kept.
  • Plan (free or Pro), the date your Pro ends, and the number of nesting runs you have used.
  • Payments: for each Pro payment, the amount, the date, the payment method (for example UPI or card), Razorpay’s order and payment references, the Pro period it bought, and the email address on your account at the time. We never receive your card number, UPI PIN or bank login, and we do not store your UPI ID or card details.
  • Agreement: the date and time your account was created, when you agreed to the Terms of Service and this policy by continuing on the sign-in page.
  • Signed-in device: the browser and operating system your account is signed in on (for example “Chrome on Windows”) and when it was last used. An account can be signed in on one device at a time, and this is how the sign-in page tells you where it is in use.

3. Your files and nesting jobs

  • DXF files you upload are stored on our server so the parts can be read from them. Each file is saved under a random name, without your account or its original file name attached, and uploaded files are not deleted automatically.
  • The job you are working on (the names of your files, the parts read from them and your settings) is kept in your browser’s storage. It is cleared the next time you open GoNesting in a new tab or window, or when you go back to the sign-in page. The sheet sizes you add, and which parts you last selected, stay in your browser until you remove them or clear your browser data.
  • When you nest, the parts, the settings and the finished layout are also kept in your sign-in session on our server, so the export files can be built. They are removed when the session ends.
  • PDF reports: when you save a nested layout, we create its PDF report and store it on our server with your account, so you can download it again from your History page. A report contains the part names (taken from your drawing or its file name), the quantities, the sheet sizes, the settings, the material used, and a drawing of each nested sheet showing the shapes of your parts. Only you can download your reports, while signed in.
  • Nesting history: for each run we record the date, the settings, your plan, how many parts and sheets were involved, the material used and the time taken. A run is recorded when it starts, so a run you stop is recorded too. This is what your history page and your run count are built from.
  • We do not share your drawings or reports with anyone or use them for anything other than running GoNesting for you.

4. Contact form

If you use the contact form, we store your name, email address, subject, message and IP address in our database so we can read your message and reply to you by email from info@gonesting.com.

5. Cookies and technical data

  • A session cookie keeps you signed in while you use the app. While you sign in with Google, your session also holds one-time security values that protect the sign-in; they are discarded when it finishes.
  • Your IP address and the email address given are recorded with contact messages to stop abuse, and your IP address and account number with each attempt to start a payment. These rate-limit records are only used for an hour, and are deleted from time to time once they are more than a day old.
  • Our web server keeps standard logs, including IP addresses and errors, for security and troubleshooting. If a sign-in is refused because its email address already belongs to a different Google account, the error log records that email address so we can help sort it out.
  • Google Analytics cookies measure how the website and app are used (section 6). Apart from these, we do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

6. Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service from Google, to understand how people use gonesting.com: which pages are visited, how visitors find us, and which features are used most, so we can improve GoNesting. It runs on every page of the website and of the app, including the app’s pages after you sign in.

  • What it collects: the pages you view and how you use them (for example scrolling, clicks on links to other websites and file downloads), when you sign up, sign in, send the contact form, start a nesting run (and whether it was on the Free or Pro plan), download an export, or start or complete a Pro payment (the amount and Razorpay’s order reference only), the page or search that brought you here, your browser, device type, operating system, screen size and language, and your approximate location (country and city), which Google works out from your IP address. Google Analytics does not log or store your IP address.
  • What it never gets: your name, email address, Google account ID, the drawings you upload or your nesting results. We do not send any of these to Google Analytics.
  • Cookies: Google Analytics sets two first-party cookies, _ga and _ga_02V74Y91MP, to tell visits from the same browser apart. They last up to 2 years.
  • Who processes it: Google processes this data for us, and may do so on servers outside your country. How Google uses information from sites that use its services explains more.
  • How long it is kept: for the retention period set in our Google Analytics account, at most 14 months, after which Google deletes it.
  • Not for advertising: we use Google Analytics only to measure and improve GoNesting, not to show you ads.
  • Opting out: you can block or delete these cookies in your browser settings, use a content blocker, or install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. The website and the app work the same without them.

7. Services involved

  • Google: signing in happens on Google’s own pages, under Google’s Privacy Policy. Google then sends us the information listed in section 1.
  • Google Analytics: measures how the website and app are used, as described in section 6.
  • Hosting and email: the website, the app, its database, your files and our mailbox are hosted by our hosting provider, Hostinger.
  • Google Fonts and the Tailwind CSS CDN: the app’s pages load fonts and styles from these services, which therefore receive your IP address and browser details when you use the app. The public website serves its own fonts.
  • Razorpay: Pro is paid through Razorpay, which runs the payment on its own secure checkout under Razorpay’s Privacy Policy. We send Razorpay your name and email address (to fill in the checkout) and your GoNesting account number with each payment. Your card, UPI and bank details go to Razorpay and your bank, not to us.

8. Keeping and deleting your data

  • Your account details, Google account ID, profile photo, nesting history and PDF reports are kept for as long as you have an account.
  • To delete your account, email info@gonesting.com from the email address on your account. Within 30 days we delete your account details, including your Google account ID, name and email address, along with your profile photo, nesting history and PDF reports, and confirm by email.
  • Uploaded DXF files are not deleted automatically. Because they are stored under random names with nothing linking them to your account (section 3), we cannot pick out one person’s files to delete them, including when you delete your account.
  • Payment records (section 2) are kept even after an account is deleted, for as long as tax and accounting law requires; the link to the deleted account is removed.
  • Contact messages are kept so we can follow up on them; ask us and we will delete yours.
  • Rate-limit records are deleted from time to time once they are more than a day old, and the nesting data held in your session is removed when the session ends.
  • Google Analytics data is kept for at most 14 months (section 6).

9. Your choices

You can change your name and photo on your profile page. To get a copy of your data, correct it, or delete your account, email info@gonesting.com from the address on your account. You can also remove GoNesting’s access to your Google account at any time, as described in section 1, and opt out of Google Analytics as described in section 6.

10. Security

Connections to gonesting.com are encrypted with HTTPS. Signing in uses Google’s secure sign-in, with one-time checks that tie each sign-in to the browser that started it, so your Google password never reaches us. Uploaded drawings and PDF reports are kept in folders the web server will not serve to anyone, and a report can only be downloaded by the account it belongs to.

11. Changes to this policy

If we change what we collect or how we use it, we will update this page and the date at the top. If a change affects how we use information from your Google account, we will tell you before it applies.
